Tally Couture is a total fashion solutions outfit founded by fashion consultant and designer Talatu Umar Onucheyo. We create styles to suit varying personalities — and we believe African fashion deserves its place on the world stage.
Talatu Umar Onucheyo
Talatu hails from Idah, Kogi State. Fashion was part of home life — her mother introduced her to tailoring at a young age, in a household where family members sewed.
She went on to study accounting at Federal Polytechnic, Idah, before committing fully to her first love. A diploma in fashion design from Oak Fashion Institute, Lagos, followed — and with it, Tally Couture.
Today Talatu leads the brand as founder & creative director, combining hands-on design and tailoring with fashion consultancy: advising clients on style, fabric, colour, patterning and construction so every outfit works for the wearer, not just the hanger.

Talatu is introduced to tailoring by her mother, in a household where sewing was a family craft.
